The Challenge
The property relied on ageing gas heating, microbore pipework, and gravity-fed water services, all inefficient and unsuited to the homeowner’s long-term goals. The task was to design and deliver a system that would dramatically improve energy efficiency while futureproofing the home.
Our Solution
As part of the Heat Geek Elite Installer network, we leaned on advanced design platforms and trusted technology partners to build the perfect system. The upgrade included:
- Full MLCP re-pipe – Installed with 25mm insulation beneath the subfloor to minimise heat loss, supplied by Multipipe Ltd.
- Vaillant Aerotherm 5kW heat pump – A high-performance, low-carbon heating solution designed with Heat Geek’s specialist software.
- Heat Geek Super Cylinder – With 90mm insulation from Newark Cylinders, ensuring exceptional hot water efficiency.
- Precision system design – Delivered via h2x, providing exact specifications for maximum performance.
- Home Energy Monitor Kit – From OpenEnergyMonitor, allowing the homeowner to track system performance and optimise efficiency in real time.
Throughout the process, support from City Plumbing and expert guidance from Chris Emmerson further enhanced both the installation and the customer experience.
