Modernizing Equestrian Facilities for Year-Round Comfort
At Mildeans Farm Livery, we were tasked with improving the facilities to ensure the well-being of the horses and the comfort of the staff. Our first project involved designing a robust hot water horse shower area, featuring a retractable high-level hose for ease of use. Recognizing the risk of freezing temperatures, we implemented a trace heating system to protect water pipes from frost damage.
In addition, we provided a portable, insulated horse shower unit, offering flexibility and frost protection for the colder months.

To address the barn’s heating and ventilation needs, we designed and installed an oil-fired ventilation system, equipped with high-level destratification fans to circulate warm air effectively. This system ensures both frost protection and comfortable conditions in the barn during winter.
Finally, we upgraded the stable water systems, with high-level pipework delivering water to each stable. Individual isolation drops and trace heating further protect the system from freezing, providing reliable water access throughout the year.
